I am new selling to U.S government, what is your fee per month or quarter?

The fee is only for searching bids and contracts on your behalf which is based on 50 states, over 3000 local and 1300 federal government agencies.

How much will it cost us in fees to bid in a contract and whom do I pay.

The fees range between $5000 to $20000 for up to 5 million dollars of contracts, but paying the fee to a consultant does not guaranty of winning the contract, you after identifying the contact that you will bid you must check the previous similar products or services contracts in order to get some idea about the possibility of winning before you pay the consulting fees.

 Is $20000 not high for a contract?

It depends on the product or services profit margin but let’s assume that you are textile company and your contract that you are bidding is for uniform and your cost is including all the expenses $14 and order total is for 5 million in total of 250000 uniform.  So thinking that your offer price $20 per uniform net profit is $6 and dividing the consulting fee of $20000 to 250000 units gives us $0.08 cost of bidding per unit.
